Word Stick Earrings

Had some fun playing with the Birdcage Die over the weekend using it on several different surfaces. Here I added Tiara Stickles to make it glitzy!

The Word Stick earrings were really fun to make. I punched a hole using the 2 hole screw punch to add a chain link from the Link Chain.

To add the link, hold both sides with the 2 pliers, and open pulling one to the front and one to the back . This keeps the integrity of the shape of the link. Then just roll it back after you add your beads.

The beads are on an eye pin, and I used a wrap to make the loop. You could add Alcohol Ink to the Word Stick or Acrylic paint in the word itself to add color if you choose.

Enjoy the day...the move went really well...we're sore all over, but glad it had no Whammies!

Metal and the NEW Kabukas

I just got some of the new colors of metal from Ten Seconds Studio and NEW MOLDS!!!!!! This is Big Daddy 7 on the top...LOVE this one, and Kabuka 8 on the bottom.

They are sooooooooooooooo cool!!!! They really outdid themselves this time!!!

You have to go to the site and check them all out. But here is a piece I made with a couple of them. I combined the molds to show you the versatility of them.

I used a paper mache box and metallic acrylic paints to give contrast to the Br-rr Blue Metal.

Different styles on the same piece gives a random look. The bottom one reminds me of an antique city street layout....it's just me.

So, go check them out....get out the plastic or go to your LSS and ask them to order these for you.

PS. Peggy asked a ? the other day in a comment, but I have no email to tell her...Yes, I've given classes in making the houses in Missouri and Illinois. Actually one of my first classes. This thing is BIG for the header, but we made 3 smaller ones in a frame for the class.

Would be fun to update and give again.....maybe.

The Bag is ready to go!

Tim would be so proud. I used my Perfect Pearls that I won from him, my Golden Acrylics, foam stamps, and my black Sharpie pen! The bag has been around for awhile and needed some jazzing up, so the large pocket on one side got some decoration, and the stars are hung with the little pins from Idea-olgy. LOVE them.

One more night to sleep after tonight, and we are on our way to the Big Show!!!! Hope to get to the 2Peas Social on Saturday and meet some old friends!

Grungeboard and Canvas

Trying out some Grungeboard and a 6x6 canvas board. Painted the letters with Adirondack Acrylics Pesto, stamped, layered on Titan Buff Golden Acrylic paint,then dulled down with Black Soot Distress Ink.

The background paper is from The Paper Element Coffee: Cream & Sugar. I HAD to use Distress ink on the paper, of course, but the papers are beautiful! Added a few stamps and my pen work to the edges. Done!
