Classes Are Up!!!!

Classes are up at the For Keep Sakes site!!!! Come and join the fun!!!! In both classes I will teach you to use the metal from Ten Seconds Studio that is sooooo easy. It lets you look like a pro with little effort. I KID YOU NOT! You will love this stuff.

The only tools you need to make these is a sanding block, a stump, and a mold. The stumps and molds are provided for you. Please bring a sanding tool. And I'll demo all the other tools from my collection, and you can try them!

We'll make at least 2 pins and a slider necklace to hide little treasures in. Decorate the pins with ribbons and dew drops and jewels. The sky's the limit with your imagination on this project!!

The Maya Road book has 11 sides to decorate. You can bring little pictures of family to put in it. Or just use the flowers and stamps to adorn the pages along with the jewels, chipboard, and buttons that come in the kit. Lots and lots of stuff to fill the book
.
Can't wait to see all of you again!

Oriental Books

Here are the 2 latest additions to the Vintaj books for Galena. They are my attempt at a bit of oriental style. The colors DO match, trust me, but the Distress Stickles seems to photograph a bit differently.

Anyway Maya Road ribbon and CB Blossoms, Autumn Leaves clear stamps, Basic Grey Blush papers, and of course, Distress Inks. The Grungeboard pieces are a great background for the metal findings.

Easter Egg Book CLass

Here's a sneak peak....(don't you think THAT phrase is getting a little bit overused lately)....of the book that I'll be teaching Feb. 23rd at Scrapbook Friend'z. It is so cute!! I thought it was much bigger than it really is, so that makes it harder for me. Smaller is not easier. This is the inside papers before they were glued. The only way to photo it since afterward the pages are in the way. Brilliant, aren't I....you can't fool me!!!!

This is made with Basic Grey LilyKate papers, and a Melissa Frances book. The flower stamps are Impression Obsessions, the Florishes by Autumn Leaves, and the dots by Savvy Stamps. Those who know me know I'm not a glitter person, but the new Texture Rubbing - borders by 7Gypsies really amazed me. The fine detail they have is beautiful. I'm glad I tried them, and as you can see, they are addictive. After you use one row, you have to keep using JUST one more for balance ....yeh ....right. Here it is all put together. And yes, it has been changed!!! Added some words!

Hope the girls will like it!

Two Posts in One Day

I've been so taken by the beautiful images by Shirley McCutcheon for quite some time. But the layouts in the new Somerset Studio are beyond stunning. She uses such haunting images in layers that define nature and children's faces in all of her works of art. After studying them for several days, I finally got the nerve to make some transparencies of my own and put together a piece .

Couldn't have done it without the great tutorial from Shirley. I hope you like it.

Thanks for everything, Shirley, you're the Best!!!

Christmas Wine Box

Got back from a very impromptu trip to Branson to see a couple of Christmas shows. DH just decided we needed to get away for a few days. Got to FINALLY visit with Sharon and Chris at the RED LEAD shop in St. Louis!!!! What a wonderfully inspiring pair of sisters! WOW...neat shop, neat people, and really cool stuff. Also stopped into the Branson shop and picked up several stamps there. Good trip. Now to put some things together for a few gifts before the snow flies.
You know, sometimes it takes longer to take the darn picture than it does to make the entire project. Here I made a wine box for one of the friends we travel with. These things are really great for adding papers. The box is the Bare Elements line by Creative Imaginations. Again, papers and ribbons and inks, oh my. I had fun, but I'm so easily amused. Still have got to get going and make another book. Supplies just came in, so I'll probably be up working while my DH gets his beauty sleep. I'm a nightowl and he's not.

Who are these "Little Darlings?"

Here's a picture of the store sample I made for Scrapbook Frienz in Bloomington. It's using Dream Street Papers and their cool albums with sticky papers all ready to attach! FUN! And easy to put together. The rub ons are 7Gypsies. Other stamps by Autumn Leaves, Collections and Hero Arts. And yes, those are my two little "friends in ART", Erin and Emma in their new robes from Aunt Micki and Uncle Carlo!

Store Sample

This is the first page of the book. Love the little kid's expression!
With the grandkids in bed, I can now load the store sample of the Cloud9Design board book in a box. The front was fun, but there were 14 sides to cover with the front and back! WHEW! Glad that was done. Used daisyD's cardstock stickers, rub-ons (shich I LOVED!) tags, ribbons and papers. They all worked out great. Must get them to Teresa Monday. Distress Inks and stamps by Autumn Leaves, Tim Holtz, Imaginisce, and Impression Obsessions were used.
