Happy Birthday Wishes and Configuration Peek #2

Well I finally got out the glue and put the finishing touches to the Configuration I have been toying with for quite awhile. Will upload it here soon. Just need some good sunlight and pictures. Come back tomorrow maybe, if my camera can work some magic!

This is the square cubby that has a couple of pieces of vintage ephemera and one of Tim's Distressables I hoarded years ago. Always loved them.

Erin turned Double Digits yesterday and Bill's Birthday is today....so we ate cake and ice cream and sang last night. The lettering is not mine....who made that peace symbol....Emma?????

This is a shot of the 4x8 foot signs I lettered for the bands show "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas."

They compete in Indy this weekend at the Bands of America competition. Break a leg, kids! Have a great show...I know you will!!!!

Chili dogs and Dairy Queen for lunch...the boy is easy to please. Tonight I think we'll have Ribs somewhere....sounds like a plan to me.

Have a good one!

Sneak Peek and Other Assignments!

Hello everybody in the Blogosphere! (sp?)

I'm taking a break from hand painting 3 signs for the band. They are 4'x8'....that's feet, not inches...what was I thinking???? All I have to do is write 1 word on each in Script. Sounds easy, huh? My legs are killing me and my back hurts. It's a lot of bending over. I'll survive.

Anyway, here's what I've been PLAYING with in the studio for the past several days. I'm extremely slow and definitely an over-thinker. But I decided to show you one of my favorite niches just for fun, and hope to get your blood pumping so you can go out and buy a Configuration from Tim. Then make it your own.

Have a great weekend.........and Create ART!

Last Chance

Here it is Friday already. Tomorrow is the drawing on the Row House!
Many have stated their choice, and many are correct...many are wrong, but consistent!
Here are the 2 newest houses for the drawing and door prizes. Something a little bit different. Love the gal with the shades....
I used "Collections" houses, vintage photo and stamps. Tim Holtz doo dads and Distress Inks. The little face is from Artgirlz stamps. Cool girl! I had shades like that in the '70's and freckles, too. Keep guessing.

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!

Erin, the blond with the Santa hat in yesterday's pic, and I had to play with tags today. She HAD to wrap hers and take it before I could scan it, so, alas, only mine is in the blog today. She REALLY loves to emboss...it's so magical when you first learn it! And yes, I am rather addicted to the Stamper's Anonymous Santa. Sorry....the metal number 25 is embossed metal from Ten Seconds Studio. I used distress inks, embossed snowflakes, and painted the hat and holly around Santa. Some Stickles for glitz and a foam stamp from Making Memories.
Be safe, be well.

Happy Birthday Bill

I know
every one has already done great things with the Bind-It-All. But what can I say. I'm a late bloomer and this is the first project I did with mine. (Finally making time to take it out of the box does wonders!) Today is my DH 's birthday so here is the little card I made for him...front and back. The inside has many personal promises...no just kidding. But I didn't want to bore you. The rub ons on the front are from Ten Seconds Studio, thanks to Cheryl. Of course there are Distressables from Tim Holtz, stamps from the lovely Julie vanOosten Collections, Stampers Anonymous and Stamping Sensations...I LOVE her blue rubber! I cut apart a Creative Imaginations book, papered it, and bound it together.
Wonderful fun!

Happy Birthday, Honey! You're the best!
