More Pictures from CHA

Let me just say that I cannot take a good picture at CHA. The lights are low and yellow my stuff out to where I don't like them. If I were smarter, I would know what to do to fix them, but that's in another lifetime. Ha!

That being said, I took shots of my Ranger things before mailing them off. So I like these pictures better, and you can see the techniques and colors better up close. So, here goes..........

These are 2 of the new smaller Manila Tags from Ranger. I used Tim's papers, of course, (duh!) and Distress Inks, plus his other great products from Idea-ology and Sizzix. So much fun!

This is using a new Glossy Paper ATC and more Tim stuff. The bird is blue, honest, using Denim Alcohol Ink to color. Try as I may, I could not get a good shot of him!!!!!

The large Manila tag. I love this guy with the Life saying. If you've had my class using it, this is a new twist on it with water drops in the ink for raindrops. And of course, some Tissue Tape and the new colors of Distress Inks.

And these are the new Petaloo Flowers!!!!!!! Aren't they just drop dead gorgeous????? I LOVE every one of them. You've got to get your shops to carry them, you'll love them, too.

I did not take these pictures, mine were really bad. So I snagged them from someone who takes much better pics than I do. I love the new look.

The new colors are fabulous.

Again, another shot from my house. I added another flower to this after I took this, but you get the idea. These soft and wonderful flowers are so amazing with Vintage papers.

More with the vintage look of Graphic 45. I love how they go so well together.

These are quite similar to what you will make in my upcoming classes. So much goodness from several places. Check out the sidebar.

And this is the card that goes with my Halloween layout from Marah Johnson's new line Wicked with Creative Imaginations!!!! These papers are unbelievably beautiful. There are soooooo many things you could do with them. I love the background paper here. Details like you cannot fathom. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!!!!! See the rest of the collection here.

I hope you've enjoyed the photos. It took forever to load them from the hotel. But if I have passed along a few ideas to those who couldn't make the trip, my work was worth it.

.....to everyone who visited Teresa's blog and left a comment!!! You guys are THE BEST. Working "out of the box" sometimes is great experience. You really push the envelope and try new things.

BUT, ha, this is where I really love to work. In the GRUNGE, or VINTAGE area.

This is what I find easier to put together. Maybe because I've done more of it, I don't know.

This was so much fun.

Tim stuff, of course, the little dots around the edge are with the new Black Enamel Accents from Ranger. And I used Chipped Sapphire on the blue paper.

The flowers are with Tim's Die, Tattered Florals, sprayed with Luminarte, and stamped with the Artful Artifacts alphabet stamp. Olive Archival Ink was used on the background blue paper ( all 3 of Tim's great paper stacks are in this) and another one of Tim's stamps. (Hey, the man can really design STAMPS!)

Since this is a shadow box, it was hard to photograph without a shadow. But the BOX is from Petaloo. Their All White Peony Box Blends comes in this VERY cool black slider box! I LOVED it!

The Tissue Tape around the box worked out just perfect. That stuff is a MUST. WAY cool!!!

The rest of the embellishments are from Tim, except one little flower center.

Now, for the Luminarte, man, is it FULL of mica. It is really, really, fun to work with. You can't believe the shine of this stuff. I'd show you something I'm working on, but you know the old %@&**, it's a secret.

These paints have been around for a long time, but Creative Imaginations just "new and improved" them. You can paint, spray, daub, and do all kinds of wonderful things with them. You know them as Twinkling H2O's and Radiant Rains.

So keep an eye to the sky. I'll be back with some more fun stuff I've done in the last few months that I've been saving.

Collage with Wax, Metal, and Wood

I have kept this little beeswax canvas knowing I would find a place for it some day. It was one of the practice pieces I did before attempting the Ranger Designer Challenge collage.

It's a transparency of my Mom when she was in her early 20s. Beeswax, stamping, rubons, and Perfect Pearls are all a part of this tiny piece.

You know the Peacock metal is the background with Luminarte, Alcohol Inks and pens. (Sorry for the glare at the top....this stuff is hard to photograph!)

Then we have the gold lace and ribbon on top of the thin Cherry Wood from Creative Imaginations,that I cut with Tim's new die from Sizzix. And the Petaloo flowers are the final touch! Aren't they gorgeous??? Mom always loved to plant and arrange flowers, so this had to have flowers on it.

OMG!!! Tim's NEW Stuff!!!!

Well, Mr. Holtz has done it again. You will NOT believe all his new and wonderful creations!!!

I have my list ready and the plastic is melting in my pocket. Can't wait to get all these "over the top" stamps and Sixxix dies to use for classes.


AND Tim will be showing a new machine at CHA...hold onto your hats!!!! or whatever...


I'm rarely at a loss for words...but I just think this year is gonna be a GREAT year for CREATING ART...
