So, what would you call this....abstract splash art???
I decided to play with bright Golden High Flow Acrylics that I
bought last year on a trip to Blick's. And I also picked up some
Bombay Inks at the same time.
This is on a sheet of watercolor paper from the Finnabair
Denim Journal. It's so easy to take out and put back in
when you're done creating.
These are the main inks that I used with the wet-on-wet
technique. I added color with the dropper and sprayed with
water to make it flow even more.
I also used Grungy Grid Stencil and Fresh Orange Metallique
paint from Finnabair to fill in spots.
Splashes of white ink break up the color and scratches
in the paint before it dried creates fun images.
Archival Inks. The Pipe frame and
Brass ART Plate Label give the page a title.
Black Gesso and Metallique paints go on the Pipe frame,
and the ART Mechanical is just buffed and polished with a
detail block.
The contrast of the frame really shows you how bright these
inks and paints really are on white paper. The black permanent
pen creates even more contrast and makes the colors POP!
Hope you enjoy and just get out your supplies and start
"throwing down some color."
