What has been happening in my life

Since I'm starting this I guess it would be good to show and tell a bit about what's been going on in our household lately. From the pictures I loaded, you can see that we decided to tear off the old deck (didn't look as good as that picture now!) and add a sunroom to the back of the house. Allergies, bugs, the fact it was 10 years old, all played a part in the decision. Long story short....it was a great experience and went much, much better than we could possibly imagine. But, right in the middle of it all, my mom passed away rather suddenly, and the joy of it all seemed lost.

Seven weeks have gone by, and I feel like I was "lost in space" or just in a complete fog all that time. My mind was like mush, and all I wanted to do was sleep. My art projects sat unfinished among all the things I had bought during our CHA convention trip on my desk in the studio. I really didn't care about anything.

But about 4 days ago, the fog seemed to lift a bit. My things got put away in a new set of drawers Wendy and I found at a really neat shop. I bought some new papers (does wonders for the soul, heh?) and LIFE GOES ON.

Here's to mothers everywhere. ASK ALL THOSE QUESTIONS NOW that you've thought about and wondered. Don't wait....you never know when they will be gone forever and you will not have the chance. And just do the best you can....life's too short.

And thanks to Wendy, I'm finally getting this blog started that I signed into so long ago. Here's to friends, too! They lift us up, when we need it most.

Have a great day!

I'm SO glad i read your blog tonight!!! not only did i find AWESOME ART but some insight to.. I care for my mom who is 79 (will be 80 in March) we had to move in to her home as i would not put her in a home and she isnt ready for that anyways. It's a HUGE worry to me every morning before i get out of bed I lay and wonder if she's ok and i'll get blessed with another day with her. You've inspired me to ASK LOTS of questions and record them in a journal we are both going to make! Thank you for the inspiration and for giving me the push to try to overcome my fears of when she's gone and enjoy her more while she's with me! Tomarrow is gona be an awesome day as we r going to create a book and while we are talking i will be writing down ALL the things she tells me and i ask and just what comes up naturally! Thanks a bunch blessing to you!
Hugs Dawn
