Time Flies

Hello everyone! It's been quite a while, but here we go.

This is a project using the newest molds from Finnabair. I'm late to the party as mine were lost in space, but when I got them, I started pouring resin!!!

I had this ceramic wall hanging sitting here calling my name, so it became my base. I added white gesso, white crackle paste, and several liquid acrylics all from Finnabair.

I painted the resin with black gesso, dry-brushed with white gesso, and then added several colors of Sparks paints. They are absolutely stunning on black gesso, and are actually even brighter and more colorful in person. You have to have light shining on metallic paints to get the shine, which makes it very difficult, in my opinion, to get a vibrant picture.

Some pictures are taken in the daytime, and some at night. All under an Ott light. Different angles and background light makes for varying colors and sparkle.

The largest moth is painted with black gesso and only dry-brushed with white gesso. I wanted contrast so the metallics would show up better.

All the elements are glued on with 3D Gloss Gel. A few Black Micro Beads and Glass Glitter are sprinkled around the edges with soft gloss gel.

The smaller moth is really colorful with the Sparks paints on black gesso.

Notice the shine on this key with a different angle. Some times it looks all orange and sometimes is more golden. Love the variation.

The Pebbles are the only other element that were placed to add just a bit more golden color.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I'm glad to answer any questions you might have. You can get most of these products at Finnabair's store,  Mixed Media Place in Ireland, or Retro Cafe Art Gallery in Indiana, USA. Check them out and
