Today I'm showing you a couple of shots of the weekend project I made for
using the wonderful new products from
Prima and Sandra Evertson Relics and Artifacts.
I've take one of the Archangels and used a brown antique glaze on him with a bit of water.
I used an open back canvas to create a niche for the sculpture. The paper was cut, corner to corner, to open up and roll back over the edges.
I added Copper Micro and Zinc Glass Beads in the background in a layer of Soft Gloss Gel.
The red painted Stars and Pearl Ribbon Trim are added with 3D Matte Gel on the edges. I painted the rolled-back paper with an bright gold paint.

ReplyDeleteLinda this is nothing short of Genius! I love it! Wonderful idea, brilliantly executed!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it should be behind glass and locked up for a showing in a museum. Just gorgeous!
Thank you for creating such beautiful things with my RELICS & ARTIFACTS /Prima Marketing Inc.
ReplyDeleteSimply Stunning work and beautiful artistry!!
Many years ago, my mom gave me an angel similar to this. I always kept it on a table because I couldn't figure out how to hang it. This is a great idea, and now I know what to do to hang it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely splendid Linda!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you roll that paper over the edge? I love the look you have created- your colors are sooo rich!
I roll it over a large paintbrush handle. It's pretty thick paper so it holds the shape.
DeleteThis is such a cool piece! It looks so ancient! The beads are a great touch! xoxo
ReplyDeleteA perfect piece, Linda. I've been poring over it as I check the mail each day for my relics to arrive. When you say you used a brown was, how did you concoct it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marjan
PS Your kitchen looks terrific.
