When I saw this little Locket Book from Tim Holtz, I immediately knew I wanted to drill a hole in it!
I wanted to hang it on a necklace with SOMETHING hanging from the bottom....hmmmmm.....
Then the Buckle came to mind.
I also wanted a Vintage Pocket Watch Key from the Retro Cafe Art shop....something shiny and bright and vintage looking.
So that's why I chose this key...I LOVED it the second I saw it.
I really like to add color to metal.
Sharpie Pens work perfectly on tiny detailed spots.
And polish the metal Buckle with the Detailing Block.
PaperArtsy Fresco Paints and Lynne Perrella stamps adorn the little book insert.
And of course, some White Posca Pen detailing.
This shows two Ink and the Dog stamps, too.
The little book folds up and fits into the locket.
I added a couple of Jump Rings and a dyed silk ribbon.
So check the links below. Many pieces from several different places that all work wonderfully together.

I immediately fell in love with this necklace, Linda, but not why you might think!! The vintage pocket watch key reminded me instantly of a "skate key," and fond memories came flooding back to me from decades ago! Just a beautiful piece!!
ReplyDeleteLinda - you did an incredible job with the locket. Turning it into a pendant with a buckle is ingenious. I gobbled up every word of your blog and have my locket siting on my work table. Did you use a Sharpie to make it gold too? I can't wait to see who else will be carrying Paper Artsy. Love their paints and stamps. Thanks a lot!
