Hey everybody! It's a new month, so that means a new challenge at Inspiration Emporium!
This time its Masks and Stencils, so I thought a little step-out would be fun.
Since it's Spring, in some places, I figured a bird would be nice.
I started with a #10 Manila tag and Distress Inks.
There's Broken China and Peacock Feathers applied generously at the top. Then Seedless Preserves came over the top of them.
Squeezed Lemonade goes heavily in the middle with Ripe Persimmon on the edges. See how the blues turn a gorgeous green when the Lemonade hits them.
Then turn you tag upside down and add Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters to the bottom with a touch of Pine Needles, blending as you go.
Since this was done at night, I know, shocking to those of you who know me, I didn't take a picture of the in-between tag....sorry.
BUT, this is what you get when you use The Dotted Flowers stencil along the edge with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink, and Checkered Dots here and there with white paint on a piece of Cut N Dry foam. Clean the paint from your stencils quickly.
Then I stamped the Birdcage from Artful Flight with Jet Black Archival Ink. The Script from the Apothecary set is stamped with Coffee Ink.
I used the Border Stamp from the Classics 006 set, and the swirl from
Fancy Flourishes with Jet Black Ink all around the sides to fill in.
The Bird from Artful Flight is stamped on the edge of the tag with Jet Black Ink.
And the Flowers in the left corner are stamped with Olive Archival Ink.
The gorgeous ribbon was from the ladies at Red Lead. It's wider and looks great on this larger tag.
That's it for today.
A pretty simple tag you could send to someone hoping for Spring to show it's warmth in the coming days.
I AM READY!
