How can it possibly be here this soon??? Don't get your hopes up.
But yes! My Vagabond has arrived!!! But I cannot open it up and play until I get this post done....DISCIPLINE!
Here we go....
I used the Manila Tags from Ranger, of course, and embossed the Snowman Texture Plate to the left. THEN....here's the new idea.....using the small plates for cutting the On the Edge Dies, I put the other side through with the trees. DO NOT let the plate overlap the snowman and it works BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! Two embossed images side by side!!!!
Then I sprayed with Blue Smoke Perfect Pearls Mists, and scootched it around to fill in the edges of the embossing, with a brush. See around the trees and the Snowman. Pull the color off the Trees and Snowman with a brush to create the lighter tones as shown.
Then I laid a wet brush onto the colors Pine Needles and Forest Moss Distress Ink Pads, and painted the color onto the trees. A couple of browns were used for the trunks and Snowman's Arms. Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge for his nose. Do a couple of layers of color.
The Snowflakes are cut on Grungepaper using metal tape with sticky backing from the Hardware Store...find it in the Duct work section. Add some Denim Alcohol Ink to clear Rhinestones for large snowflakes and use smaller clear ones on Frosty.
The Ticket is from Tim's Odds and Ends set and it's stamped on Manila cardstock, inked with Barn Door Distress Ink, and since DI is wet, I added Clear Ultra-fine Embossing Powder, heated and repeated 2 more times. Very Shiny!
Distress your tag's edge and add Black Soot DI to the tag....add the bow and you are DONE!
You have a watercolor looking tag that was so easy to create!
** I got a copy of the new Somerset Studio Gallery Winter 2011 in the mail yesterday.....WHOO HOO....my book with the Teresa Collins Collection is in there.
So after a fun day shopping and visiting with the kids and Bill's sister we had a nice quiet dinner at Rudy's!!! Ha! Quiet.........not on your life. We laugh and carry on until the tears roll down our cheeks!
~
What a group!!!!!!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all.....thanks guys for a fun evening.
I'm off to open the VAGABOND....one more day and we'll draw for a prize of the Configuration. UPDATE...Vagabond....smooth as butta! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
