Earrings and Stamps......whadayathink?

Short and Sweet today....

I was just playing around the other day with some stamps...

and some spray inks....

and some markers...

and some earring findings...

and this is what I got!

Now you can see, I added a crystal to the earrings, for just a bit more bling.

They do sparkle more than the picture shows.

But the project was too fun.

These little darlings are sitting next to a 1" diameter button.

You can't see the holes in the "eye" charms, but they're there.

The little gal could be used on a pin or necklace....use your imagination.

I stuck her on my CHA badge..it had to be done!

I need a little more practice with the designs, but they were definitely fun to play around with.

These, of course, are Dylan's Dylusions stamps.

I started out with a paintbrush and her Dylusions Spray Inks for color, and jumped around with Tim Holtz and Tombow markers of various sorts to get the colors I wanted.

Let me know what you think.

Guess what they're stamped on....

I just love shrink plastic, it gives you so many more options with your stamps. The earrings are fab xx

Shrink plastic is so underrated! I use it a lot to make large images into jewelry or embellishments. No idea what the bottom set of earrings was stamped on. Inquiring minds want to know, though.

Gesso on clear Shrink Plastic...gives it texture and a great white background!

No, that's the texture the Gesso adds, gives it tooth to add your pens!

I first thought shrink plastic (they look smaller than the dylusions images are) but the last pair looks too thick for that. The texture also threw me off but gesso would definitely do that. Anyway... They are darn cute!

And thanks for the tip of gesso, never used on shrink plastic!

Love these! I've always loved Shrink Plastic...I remember when I discovered "Shrinky Dinks" as a kid...I was fascinated! Was the shrink plastic rough, or sanded, before applying the gesso?

How fun is this! I would never think to add gesso to Shrink plastic- another something to try!

Donna...it's just plain clear SP. No sanding. But use a very thin coat of gesso and as smooth as possible.
